Rogers coffee first hit our lips in the 2021 Peru season and boy did it make an impact.

Amongst a table of washed Peruvians, his stood out by a country mile with its fruit-forward, juicy profile, which reminded us of a great Kenyan coffee - we simply had to buy it. Needless to say it was a smash hit and we've been buying it ever since and we are pretty sure this is one of the best years yet.

Roger has a farm size of 3 hectares in the El Diamante village of San Jose de Lourdes, Jaen; other members of his family also farm in the nearby area and they manage the farm together. It is Roger that undertakes the picking, processing and drying of the coffee from all farms, applying a combined technique of maceration in sacks and additional fermentation to achieve the cup profile we know and love.

El Diamante is one of the few areas in Jaen to have protected forests, which are home to an array of native flora and fauna, and together with the abundant water sources makes this area a paradise of sorts for coffee production.
